I have long wanted to make an attempt to reach out to my cousins and other friends who are descended from Peter Madsen. To be clear, I’m talking about this guy:

He was born in Denmark in 1818 and then joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and emigrated to America, eventually settling in the town of Ephraim, Utah. He died in 1910.
Not the greatest photo – I don’t have that many. Also – maybe at some point the website will look better than it does now. I’m learning – even though I know ‘blogs’ are very outdated at this point. This will likely go in an entirely different direction.
My name is John Madsen. My descent from Peter is as follows:
Peter Madsen, Mads Peter Madsen, Hyrum Benjamin Madsen, Max Gordon Madsen, Ronald Neal Madsen, and then me.
There may be some family history on this site at some point, but it’s not intended to be a family history website. There may be some discussion about the LDS Church on this website, but it’s not intended to be a Church site.
If you stumble across it and might be one of my cousins – shoot me an email. There must be hundreds of you out there and I only know a few!
